Merlin Jane Airaksinen Resident of Concord
At Kaiser Medical Center on Wed., November 22, 2006 from heart complications.
Merlin was born in Midwest, Wyoming, the daughter of the late James and May Hope Sanderson.
Family members know her as "Mert." She found out only a few years ago that her birth name was actually Murial so she had legally changed it to Merlin to correspond with other paperwork. She was known for her kind heart and eagerness to help others. A 34-year Concord resident, age 80 years.
Survivors include Beverly Dykman of Washington, Susan Figatt of Rio Vista, Judy Airaksinen of Alamo; and son, David Airaksinen of Concord. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial "open house" will be held from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17th for family and close friends at her home residence in Concord.
