Bobby Dale Sims, 72, of Dover, died Sunday, February 17, 2019 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

The son of Clayton and Martha Louis (McGhee) Sims, he was born March 2, 1946 in Little Rock.

He married Judy Hill on April 3, 1993 in Russellville.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He worked in the Information Technology department for Centennial Bank as a computer technician. He was a member of the Men of Faith Quartet and the Fair Park Baptist Church of Russellville. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gospel singing, and spending time with family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; a brother, Raymond Carroll Sims and wife Doris; and sister, Lucille Sims Stacks.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Hill Sims of Dover; three sons, Bobby Dale Sims Jr. and wife Sharon of Granite Bay, CA, Richard Wayne Sims and wife Cheryl of Texarkana, AR, Gregory Eugene Sims and wife Kathleen of Lindale, TX; two daughters, Julie Porter and husband Chip of Dover, and Angie Stringer and husband Dale of Russellville; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Johnson and husband Mack of Calmer; brother-in-law, Jerry Stacks of Sheridan; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Fair Park Baptist Church in Russellville. Pastor Bob Oden and Chip Porter will officiate.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1-2pm at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
