George S. Hodges, 81, of Owen West Road, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at his home of natural causes.

Memorial services will be at a later date. The body will be cremated.

Lamb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Chicago, he was born May 3, 1937, the son of the late Dr. Harry D. Hodges and Hildegarde Harter Hodges.

He was a Army veteran and a Major for the Florida Marine Patrol.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Hodges; and two sons, Scott and Michael Hodges.

Survivors include his son, Brad (Lisa) Hodges, Christian County; two sisters, Judy Hodges, Memphis, Tennessee, and Candy Tufo, Illinois; 12 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
