Edward Larry Black, 82 passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022. The graveside service will be held Saturday, September 10 at Providence Church Cemetery at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be Friday, September 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Independent Funeral Home (850-875-1529) in Quincy. A life long resident of Gadsden and Leon Counties. He owned and operated University Styles in Tallahassee from 1969 until 2002 when he sold it. He was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife; three daughters and their husbands; a sister and six bonus daughters. He was preceded in death by his parents; Eddie and Olive Johnson Black. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
