Georgia E. Lewis, 99, of Kittanning, PA, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Grey's Colonial Acres, Kittanning.

She was born November 11, 1919 in Kittanning, the daughter of Lloyd and Anna (Douglas) Swigart.

Georgia lived in Kittanning for most of her life and graduated from the Columbia Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for many years as a registered nurse and also worked for the American Red Cross in Kittanning. She was a long-time member of Grace Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday school for a number of years. For 21 years, she enjoyed traveling the world with her husband while he served in the US Navy. Georgia's favorite hobbies were reading and sewing, and she will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Lloyd S. Lewis and wife, Lucille, of Kittanning; daughter, Dorene M. Snow and husband, Larry, of Vandergrift; grandchildren, Lance L. Snow and wife, Sonya, of Cranberry Twp., Kimberly L. Snow, of Vandergrift, Dusty C. Brown and wife, Amanda, of Cowansville, Steve Kanish Jr., of Manorville, and Autumn A. Brown-Chytil of Franklin; seven great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, of Lucille Swigart of Butler.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Elmer M. Lewis, whom she married April 9, 1939 and who died September 20, 2003; brother, Jay Swigart; and sister, Marie George.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 155 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, with the Rev. Dana Wilmot officiating.

Interment will be in Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning, Pennsylvania.
