Mrs. Enzena McCulley Mullins, age 94 of Sparta, Tennessee, passed from this life on Sunday, February 17, 2019 in Sparta. Mrs. Mullins was born August 19, 1924 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late William and Eula Fay Farley McCulley. Mrs. Mullins was a supportive loving wife for 70 years, and a sweet caring mother and grandmother. As a child of the depression, Mrs. Mullins learned to do a lot with a little, to be a great homemaker, a wonderful cook and a skilled gardener. Mrs. Mullins and her husband Houston loved to travel and she kept detailed daily journals of all the places they visited. Mrs. Mullins was a good friend and neighbor, always ready to provide a meal or lend a hand. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband John Houston Mullins; her siblings Margie Nabors, Benton McCulley, Clifford McCulley,
Rowena Bray, Wilford McCulley, Lee McCulley and Loyd McCulley.
Surviving family includes her daughter Joanne (Tony) Pogue of Maury County, Tennessee
Son: John (Brenda) Mullins of Putnam County; Daughter: Janette Myers of Sumner County;
Daughter: Betty (Jim) Thurman of Coffee County;
Granddaughter: Christie Pogue of Williamson County; Grandson: Matt (Allison) Thurman; and Great-granddaughter: Julia Thurman of Lincoln County.
Services will be conducted Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from the Chapel of the Hunter Funeral Home with interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Thomas McCulley will officiate.
James David Nabors, Gary McCulley, Jimmy McCulley, David McCulley, Robert Keith McCulley and Bryan McCulley will serve as pallbearers.
