Linda was born March 4, 1941 East St. Louis to Chester and Gertrude (Messer) Baugh.
She was raised in Makanda by her grandmother, Maude Olive Messer.
She attended Carbondale High School and John A. Logan College. During high school she enjoyed spending time with her sisters, Lola and Paula, and her many cousins. At age 19 she gave birth to her first child, Kenneth, followed by Kimberly and Jeffery. Linda married Ronald Fleming of Johnston City and they spent many happy years together.
She was employed by Allen Industries in Herrin and later worked at Washington School in Johnston City as a lunch aid. Linda enjoyed spending time with her animals, camping, bowling, going to casinos and with her friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linda is survived by a son, Kenneth Borchelt and Danette of Johnston City; daughter, Kimberly Borchelt Murray and husband Michael of Johnston City; son, Jeffery Fleming of Johnston City; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Jo) Borchelt of Johnston City, Amy (Chris) Dodd of Johnston City, Arika (Joseph) Muck of West Frankfort, Elisa Fleming of Germany; three great-grandchildren, Dalton and Kendal Borchelt, Brooklynn Dodd, and twins on the way; two sisters, Lola Sleeper of Johnston City, Paula Baugh of Herrin; one brother, James Albert Van Trump of Saint Helens, OR and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her many pets including dogs Maggie, Howie and Willie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ronald Fleming and her parents and grandparents.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Gathering Space at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Inurment will be at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City.
