Services honoring the life of William “Bill” Martin Cope, Jr. will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury at 12 noon. Bill passed away in the home of his daughter and son-in-law on January 2, 2019 at 12:11 A.M.

Cherishing his memory is his daughter, Carla Cope Evitt and her husband, Wesley; his son, Martin Cope; three grandchildren, Megan Evitt, Jarret Cope and his spouse, Amanda, and Keevin Cope and his spouse, Zsanae’, and five great grandchildren, Josh, Jayden, Jackson, Lilyan and Avery Cope.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Martin and Jennie Mae Brundrett Cope; his beloved wife of 65 years, Florence Griffin Cope on March 26, 2018, and his sister, Wyn Nelle Wright.

Born in Monahans, Texas and a resident of Granbury, Texas, Bill as he was known by his family and friends, was a chemical engineer in the oilfield industry, working for BJ Services until his retirement. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, U.S. Korean Conflict. Hobbies of Bill included a good walk, shelling pecans, reading and being an avid golfer, a good round of golf with his buddies.

The family of Bill ask that you honor his memory by playing a really good round of golf.
