James "Jessie" Cummins was born June 22, 1950 in Catalpa, Arkansas to Thomas and Rosie Criss Cummins. He passed away February 15, 2019 in Clarksville, Arkansas at the age of 68. He was a Southern Baptist and a carpenter.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his son James Casey Cummins of Oark, Arkansas; his daughter, Brandy Kay Edgmon of Ozone, Arkansas; his brother, Paul Cummins of Oark, Arkansas; his sisters, Edna Bean of Oark, Arkansas; Ruby Morgan of Coal Hill, Arkansas; Darlene Stepp of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Barbara Hogue of Hartman, Arkansas and five grandchildren.

Visitation is 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Hardwicke Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Funeral Services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Hardwicke Chapel with Reverend Robert Boen officiating. Burial will follow at Mossville Cemetery in Mossville, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Steve Cummins, Andy Cummins, Lonnie Reynolds, Huston Mooney, Kaleb Melson, Jeremy Parker, Chucky Walters, and Randy Overton. Honorary Pallbearers are Ronnie Stepp, James Hogue, and John Mooney.
