He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death was his beloved wife, Glorine Reynaud-Howerton on April 26, 1995.
He is survived by: 2 sons and their spouses, Ron and Helen Howerton of Tulsa, OK, Michael and E. Kay Howerton of Muskogee, OK; 5 grandchildren, Jeff, Greg, Kristin, Micah, Elise; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Interment will be June 4, 2007, in Waldensian Cemetery, Monett, Missouri.
