Arthur C. "Puppy" Montgomery, of So. Weymouth, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on February 14, 2019, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 79. Born in Boston, Arthur grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School. He later went on to receive his bachelor's degree from Northeastern University. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Arthur worked as an engineer for Barnstead-Sybron Corp. and Montgomery Mechanical. In his free time, he volunteered as an umpire for the Braintree Girls Softball, enjoyed his dogs and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. A devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather, Arthur will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Arthur was the beloved husband of Nora; he is also survived by a daughter; and a sister.

Burial in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
