Graveside funeral services and interment for James C. Beasley were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 1994 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Rock Springs. The Rev. Walt Silveria conducted the services.

Beasley, 72, of 503 Gobel No. 3, Rock Springs, died at 4:15 p.m. Monday, June 20, 1994 at the Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River where he had been a patient since June 15, 1990.

A resident of Sweetwater County since 1978 and former resident of Phoenix, Ariz. and Montrose, Colo., Beasley had been in ill health for the past five years.

He was born Aug. 28, 1921 in Texas, the son of the late John E. and Ruth Caraway Beasley. He attended schools in Phoenix, and earned a bachelor’s degree in addiction counseling in Wisconsin. Beasley was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He worked as an alcoholism addiction therapist for SWARA for six years.

He is survived by one daughter, Marti Wiechman of Pelham, Mass.
