Services for Barry Wayne Nimmo, 59 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on July 24, 1959 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Freda Dean (Cook) Nimmo and Ernest Eddie “Sonny” Nimmo, Jr. and passed away on February 11, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was married to Lisa Jo Risenhoover Nimmo on July 15, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Nimmo was a truck driver and loved riding horses, trail rides and camping.
Survivors are:
wife: Lisa of the home;
daughter: Lindsey Jo Nimmo of Sallisaw, OK;
numerous other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Freddy and Jimmy Nimmo
Active pallbearers will be Steve Garvin, Mike Carter, Bailey Carter, Doug Wann, Joe Shamblin and Danny Shamblin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Reed, Gary Acker, Todd Lennington, Bill Parish, J. Hurst, Mike DeShazo and Dewayne Jiles.
Viewing will be 4 – 8 pm Wednesday, 10 am – 8 pm Thursday and 10 am – 8 pm Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma where the family will greet 6 – 8 pm Friday.

*Prayers for each of you. I worked with Barry at MTI for several years. It was such a pleasure to know and work with Barry. He had a smile that was infectious and a laugh like no other. I am sad to know I can’t see that smile that defined what a wonderful man and employee that he has always been. He has left this world much to soon and a huge hole in our hearts for all that knew him. Please know I pray for peace and comfort for your loss. RIP my friend and fly high until we meet again.

I don’t know why, it just seemed to fit him. I had been trying to call Barry for the last two weeks and David called me yesterday to let me know about his passing. I am so saddened by the news and I am so sorry for your loss. Barry was such a great guy and he will be greatly missed!!! My family is praying for your family.
