Vicki grew up in Booneville, Iowa, she graduated from Van Meter High School and went on to Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri and graduated with a degree in elementary education. Vicki taught in Murray, Central Decatur and Osceola school systems. She married Ray Byron Russell on September 27, 1992 in Osceola, Iowa. Vicki enjoyed family history and family research, she has several books with genealogy going way back. She was a great story teller and had a great sense of humor. Vicki enjoyed living by the lake and watching the wild life, geese and deer and birds were a joy. She was always looking for a reason for a car ride, any reason was a good reason. Vicki was proud to have been raised and baptized in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter, Iowa.
Those relatives who preceded Vicki in death were her parents, Glenn & Beverly Forret and sister, Glenda Gail Forret.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Tuesday February 19, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Chuck DeVos officiating. Family invites friends to lunch following the services at the Osceola United Methodist church, prior to going to Booneville.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM on Tuesday at the Booneville Cemetery in Booneville, Iowa. Family will meet at the Booneville United Methodist Church, for fellowship and refreshments following the graveside.
Memorials may be directed to her family for a fitting tribute to be decided on at a later date.
