On Sunday, February 10, 2019, Tony L. Scott, 63, was surrounded by his loving family in his home when he went to be with the Lord. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 17, 1955, Tony was the son of Melvin L. and Essie (Reed) Scott. He married his loving bride, Doris A. Richard, on November 21, 1990, and she survives.

Tony was a meat cutter at Ryan’s Steakhouse and previously worked for General Tire. He was affiliated with Rising Star Missionary Baptist. He loved playing Dominoes with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fixing up his home and always liked having projects to accomplish.

He will be remembered as a grillmaster who found joy in life and loved joking with the people who were in his life. He was a caring and outgoing man who cherished his grandchildren, and he will be missed deeply by all who had known him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris; children: Shontel Bradford, Milwaukee, WI; Miyoka Moorer, Milwaukee, WI; Anthony Scott, Marion; and Chequita Richard-Vaccianna, Detroit, MI; grandchildren: Jimmy, Jasmine, Jaylin, Demont, Breanna, Fatima, Damone, Anthony Jr., Aniya, Deonte, Daija, Lauren, Greg Jr., Montez, and Emari; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters: Sharon (Ray) Goodwin, Milwaukee, WI, and Sonya Scott-Reed, Chicago, IL; brothers: Derrick (Gina) Scott, Milwaukee, WI; David (Jackie) Scott, Marion; and Danny Reed, Ocala, FL; in-laws: Clyde (Rebecca) Richard; Robert Richard; James Richard; Shirley Richard; Edna (Robert) Adams; Patricia Richard; Brenda (Michael) Newell; and Bruce (Kari) Richard; and a host of other relatives and friends.

His parents and a special aunt, Bessie Wilkinson, preceded him in death.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with Tony’s funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Rev. J.D. Batchelor and Rev. Stanford Bolden will be officiating. Entombment will follow at Grant Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
