Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3 at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel for Joe Langston, 70, of Lake Charles, La., who died at St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles on May 31. Rev. Jimmy McGee officiated. Interment followed in the Whitesand Cemetery with Saulters-Moore Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were: Mark Gauthier, Joe Jones, Darin Guillot, Talsie Dearman, Ronnie Martin, Sam Hathorn, Tommy Langston, and Randy Langston.
Mr. Langston was a native of Lawrence County, the sone (sp son) of Jessie Joseph Langston and Eula Bourne Langston. He was a member of University Baptist Church in Lake Charles and was retired from the Engineering Department of Texas-Eastern Transmission Company after 28 years. He served in the U.S. Army for three years.
He is survived by his wife, Becky McNease Langston of Lake Charles; three daughters, Belynda Langston Gauthier of Baton Rouge, La., Lisha Langston of Lake Charles, La., and Dee Dee Langston Jones of Conroe, Texas; four grandchildren; three brothers, Bourne Langston of Columbia, Glynn Langston of Albuquerque, N.M., and Charles Langston of Thibodaux, La.; and one sister, Parnell Hathom of Monticello.
