Mrs. Gayle Elizabeth Duncan, 71, of Corning passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019, surrounded by her family at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Duncan was born on November 21, 1947, in Columbus, OH. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed social media, talking politics, listening to music, especially Fleetwood Mac, and cleaning. One would never see her without her lipstick and eyeliner applied beautifully. While she didn’t attend a local church, she watched John Hagee and Jimmy Swaggart on television on Sundays.

On April 21, 1989, she married Jerry Duncan. He preceded her in death in November of 2010.

Survivors include her daughters Christina (Greg) Conway of Corning, AR., and Lisa Griffin of Poplar Bluff, MO.; grandchildren Misty (Brandon) Buchanan of Kennett, MO., Melanie (Michael) Moser of Corning, AR., and Katie (Kenric) Duncan of San Antonio, TX.; brother Cleon Harlan of Saint Louis, MO.; sister Donna Kay Bullock of Blue Springs, MS.; great-granddaughters Kelcie, Rowan, Adalynn, and Kenleigh, and a baby boy on the way; and many other relatives and friends, including her very close cousin Carol Lee Kohut of Bonne Terre, MO and Kipper, her faithful, furry companion.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Claib Harlan, Jr. and Dathel Virginia (Hunt) Harlan.

Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Josh Carver officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2:00 PM until the start of servoce.
