She was born February 14, 1922 in Elwood, Indiana to Albert Glotzbach and Violet Pyles. Laura was married to the late, Howard King on August 31, 1940 in Anderson, Indiana.
After completing twelve years of education, Laura worked as an accountant. Laura enjoyed playing bridge with her friends as she was an avid bridge player. She lived in Holiday, Florida, from 1971 until she moved to Texas.
Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Porter and her father, Albert Glotzbach; stepfather, Howard Porter, husband, Howard King, and son, Larry King.
Laura is survived by her daughter-in-law, Charlotte King of Georgetown; grandson, John King and wife, Kimberly of Joliet, Illinois; a cousin, Lyn Schroeder and husband, Ron of Georgetown, Texas.
The family wishes to recognize Pat Helferich, who was faithful and special friend. The staff and nurses at Estrella Oaks as well as Brookdale Hospice are to be thanked for their loving care.
