Mr. Silas “Doc” Johnson, 93, of Rison, AR passed Monday, September 24, 2018. He was born October 25, 1924 in Rison, AR to the late Bruce and Clara (Ballard) Johnson.
He leaves to his memories: three sons, Rev. James Johnson (Rison, AR), Kenneth Johnson (Pine Bluff, AR), and Stanley Johnson (Forrest City, AR); two daughters, Bettye Rayford (Rison, AR) and Sharron Scales (Pine Bluff, AR); two sisters, Jennie L. Ross (Grand Blanc, MI) and Lenora Stepps (Warren, AR); nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren.
Visitation/Family hour will be Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 5:00pm-6:30pm at Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Sunday, September 30, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Rison, AR by Rev. Terry Reams. Interment will be in New Cemetery (Rison, AR) by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR.
His body will lie in-state Sunday, 1:15pm until service.
