John was the son of Will Bunch and Maggie Hooper. About 1929 he married Christine Scroghum and they had three children: Carl, Mary and Dorothy. He was a retired employedd of C. Lee Cook Dover Division of Louisville and a member of Colgate Baptist Church. John died at Clark Memorial Hospital of arteriosclerotic heart disease at the age of 82.
