Newark ~ Jeneva Bramlett Brackeen, 82, went to be with our Lord Sunday, February 10, 2019 in Fort Worth.

Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at First Baptist Church Haltom City with burial in Preskitt Cemetery.  Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Rev. Marlon Mosley and Rev. Jesse West will officiate.  Pallbearers include Larry Brackeen, Allen Brackeen, James Brackeen, George Brackeen, Johnny Brackeen, and Darrell Brackeen.

Jeneva was born June 8, 1936 to Boney and Mattie Mae (Boner) Bramlett in Decatur, Texas.  She was united in marriage on June 13, 1953 to George Donald Brackeen in Decatur.  Jeneva was a member of the First Baptist Church Haltom City. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Peggy O’Gorman; her brother, A.Z. Bramlett; and her sisters, Faye Ferguson, and May Bell Watkins.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, George Brackeen; her daughters, Donna Sharp and husband Gary of Alvarado, and Carroll West and husband Jesse of Durant, Oklahoma; her sons, Larry Brackeen and wife Arlene of Saginaw, Allen Brackeen and wife Cathy of Azle, James Brackeen and wife Susan of Springtown, George Brackeen of Newark, Johnny Brackeen and wife Katy of Newark, and Darrell Brackeen and wife Laura of Muenster; her step-son, David Brackeen of Paris; her step-daughter, Marsha Tucker and husband Glenn of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
