An obituary was published in the The Cambridge Transcript (Cambridge, Vermont) on December 29, 1893: "He purchased in 1860, of Hon. Ethan A. Hull, the farm on which he died, proving by his industry and devotion to his business, for 33 years, that the average Vermont farm brings to such prosperity and the respect due to worthy and useful citizens. Mr. Case made farming an enterprise into which he put his mind as he did his hands, and he had his ample reward."
