GOLDSBORO, N.C. – Marcella Phillips, 73, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2014.

Marcella was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 14, 1941, to the late Marcellus and Alice Tillery.

Survivors include her loving husband of 24 years, Richard Phillips; children, Phyllis (Robert) Gray, Cornell Stevens and Tamara Stevens; stepchildren, Shelton Phillips, Steven Phillips, Alyson Phillips (Greg) Morgan, and Shantina Phillips; siblings, Claude Tillery, Romey Tillery, Cardie Tillery McKinney and Tony Tillery; grandchildren, Julian, Eric, Bryan, Terrance, Aaron, Martwan and Kalina. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces.
A celebration of Marcella’s life will be conducted on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
