Judith was born October 1, 1943 in Decatur, the daughter of Kenneth and Pauline (Roan) Pope.
Survivors include her children: Ken (Lynn) Sloan of Litchfield, Cindy (Teddy) Kennedy of Hillsboro, Brian Sloan of Witt, Christine Sloan of Witt, Darrin Sloan of Hillsboro, Mark Sloan of Litchfield, and Andrea (Coda Steck) Johnson of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Doug (Sharon) Pope, Randy (Mary) Pope, and Bobby (Cheryl) Pope; and a sister, Rita Pope.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Sloan; and a brother, Jeff Pope.
Judith graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1961. Judith loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed crafts, playing poker, and fishing at Coffeen Lake.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home in Decatur. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mount Gilead Cemetery in Decatur. Memorial contributions may be made to Christine Sloan for funeral costs.
