Funeral services for Maurice Robert Brumet were conducted yesterday at the Brenkwitz funeral parlor, with Rev. Charles E. Miller, Aptos Community Methodist church, officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood cemetery.

His older brother, Léon Sylvain Brumet was born on 11 April 1894, in Decazeville, and had predeceased Morris in 1947. Their parents and the two young sons immigrated separately to Ellis Island, New York City, New York in the early 1900s and the family lived in San Francisco before his parents settled in the Santa Rosa Judicial Township, Sonoma, California,
Morris was formerly married to Marie Fernande Henri on 16 June 1923, in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, California, United States. He is survived by a thriving family, their two daughters born in San Francisco CA, Bertha 'Georgette' Brumet Bianchi born March 1924 and Laurette Brumet Carrion born November 1926 and four of his grandchildren, Sandra & Nancy Bianchi and Craig & Michelle Carrion.
Morris died on 13 February 1953, in Watsonville, Santa Cruz, California, United States, at the age of 51, and was buried in the Oakwood Memorial Park, Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz County, California, United States.
Sadly, he left his family too soon, including a group of Great-Aunts, Great Uncles and cousins residing in California and France. Morris will be missed, RIP.
