LINCOLN - Raymond "Red” E. Turner, 78, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at St. Clara’s Manor, Lincoln, IL.

Raymond was born on May 26, 1940, in Lincoln, IL; the son of Edward and Leona (Gant) Turner. He married Carol Ann Otto on September 12, 1965, in Lincoln, IL. She survives him in Lincoln.

Raymond is also survived by his children, Michael (Debbie) Turner, Jeffrey (Elaine) Turner, and Kimberly (Brad) Bryant; his sisters, Edna (Wayne) Mara, Donna (Randy) Buse; five grandchildren, Alexandra Turner, Chase Turner, Jake Turner, Kenzie Bryant, and Blake Bryant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Rosemarie.

Raymond was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, in Lincoln. He was also a Charter Member of the Railsplitter Antique Auto Club, and an avid NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhardt.

Services for Raymond will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service (9:00 to 11:00 A.M.) also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Raymond’s name to the Parkinson’s Research Foundation.
