Mary Elizabeth Kent Corbitt passed away suddenly on May 11, 2018. She is with her Lord and Savior who she served faithfully all of her days.

She was predeceased in death by her husband, Homer Corbitt, a son, Lamar Corbitt and son-in-law, Lyle Amlong. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Nixon, Mary Gale Amlong Broxson (Mike), Diane Trammell (Morrell), her son, Allen Corbitt (Lula), her two sisters, Wynette Jeffers and Vida Ligon and sister-in-law, Sally Deems. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 7 bonus grandchildren by marriage and 16 great-grandchildren Maralou, Craig and Tyler Billig, Zesa, Ed & Ahzzie Manhart, Curt, Kayce, Christian, Haley, Sarah Beth & Esther Amlong, Morey, Lexie & Morgan Trammell, Courtney, Micah & Tison Amlong, Missy, Jason, Luke & Lily Velez, Sarah, Frank, James & Gabrielle Meyer, Ashley & Jeremy Krueger, Corbitt, Danielle, Ryker & Declan Nixon, Danaan Nixon and many nieces, nephews and friends who were also her family. Her lifelong best friend, Flo Marlow, will miss her tremendously.

Everyone remembers eating Nana's famous potato salad, mashed potatoes and her deviled eggs. She was a faithful member of Sun City Christian Center where she was loved and was mentor to many who appreciated her power filled prayers.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Sun City Christian Center, 17566 South Highway 301, Wimauma, FL. A dinner will immediately follow provided by her church family.

In lieu of flowers, our family is requesting donations be made in memory of her first born son, Lamar, to the P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123.
