Donna Mae Woodward
Donna Mae Woodward, age 82, of Council Bluffs, passed away February 9, 2019.
Donna was born January 30, 1937, to the late Homer McKeever and Elizabeth Groves (Jones). She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1955. She married Jerry A. Woodward on September 29, 1956. She attended Barns Beauty School in 1959.
Donna was a strong, vibrant and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She took pride in her craft as a beautician, and even represented her school in a nation wide competition. She owned her own beauty shop for 10 years, and after selling the shop taught at Barns Beauty School. Her and Jerry loved to travel and they visited almost all 50 states, and made several trips to Hawaii. If ever you couldn't find her she was probably shopping and loved to buy and wear jewelry. She had a weekly card game for over 30 years, enjoyed bowling and collecting all kinds of knick knacks. She loved spending time with her family and playing hours of Aggravation. She is the type of person that you were better for knowing, and will be missed by all that were blessed to know her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Edward Groves; and her brother, Alvin McKeever
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jerry Woodward; three daughters, Susan (Phil) Leman, Lori (Dennis) Gascoigne, Lisa (Kevin) Qualset; one son, Jeff (Jennie) Woodward; as well as 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Shannon, Jordan, Tyler, Carson and Bailey; 1 great-grandchild, Annabelle; and two sisters, Diane Sledge and Judy (Bob) Madison.
Visitation with the family on Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service, Thursday, 11 a.m., all at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel.
