Upon the death of her parents, she was adopted by Nordahl and Lena Aske.
Sylvia was united in marriage to Fred M. Olson on September 24, 1931 in Black River Falls, WI.
She was a hardworking farm wife for 35 years. Sylvia enjoyed gardening and especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
She was a member of the Northfield Lutheran Church since her marriage.
Sylvia is survived by 2 daughters, Lois Lund of Hixton, WI, and Violet (Monte) Pederson of Eau Claire; 4 sons, Bernard (Carol) Olson of Northfield, Spencer (Doris) Olson of Hartford, WI, Frederick (DeAnete) Olson of St. Petersburg, FL, and Gaylord Olson of Northfield; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; parents, Nickolai and Inga; 2 sisters, Mildred Engebretson and Annabelle Olson; 2 brothers, Irvin Aske and Oswald Moen.
At her request there will be no funeral services. Private interment will be at Northfield Lutheran Cemetery, Northfield, WI, at a later date.
Schiefelbein Funeral Home of Osseo, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
