elma- Phillip Wayne Howell, Sr., age 59, died Saturday. Born on February 27, 1950 in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Raymond E. and Pauline Taylor Howell. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the Price Cemetery near Pine Level. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.Surviving are: two sons, Steven Brant Howell of Selma and Phillip Wayne Howell, Jr. of Kenly; a daughter, Phyllis Kay Howell of Selma; two brothers, Frank Howell and Ray Howell, both of Selma; three sisters, Barbara Howell of Surf City, Sandra Norris of Pine Level, and Pam Starling of Selma; and eight grandchildren.Condolences may be sent to the family at parrishfh.com.
