Elizabeth "Libby" Bessie Christmas was born in Bishopville SC to Bessie Bramlett and Duncan Christmas. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She was a survivor of breast cancer and gave a hard-fought battle with Alzheimer's/Dementia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Lavon Newton (who she married 10Feb1967) and her brother Wilburn Christmas.
She was survived by her children and their spouses: Beth and Don Loughridge, Robert Wolfe, Jackie and Kalvin Hendrix and Michelle and Randy Corbin. Grandchildren are: Matt Loughridge, Jenny Calvert, Savannah Wolfe, Alex and Heather Hendrix and Breanna, Lindsey and Jamie Corbin. Siblings are: Thomas, Buddy and David Christmas, Fay Shadoan and Runette Ward.
