Debra was born October 31, 1963, in Decatur, the daughter of Donald and Doris (Woods) Benson.
Survivors include her significant other, Kent Klinger; a brother, Donald Benson of Blue Mound; a sister, Rebecca (Todd) Ehrett of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, a special cousin, and a brother-in-law.
Debra graduated from Niantic High School. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family. She cherished every moment she could spend with her nieces and nephews. She also loved animals.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home in Decatur. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Macon County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Macon County Animal Shelter or to St. John’s Children Hospital, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
