A graveside service celebrating the life of Billie Joe Robbins will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, December 21, 2018, in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth, with Reverend Jean Sanders officiating.

Billie Joe Robbins, age 86, of Alexandria, departed this life on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

Mr. Robbins proudly served our country in the US Army. He was a member of Horseshoe Drive United Methodist Church. During his working career he worked in the Communications Industry as a manager. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Palmeter Robbins; parents, J. A. and Lorene Stoops Robbins; two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his son, Robert Joe Robbins (Mattie); daughter, Linda R. Lyons; his special grandson, Cannon Lyons and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren who knew him as “Paw Paw” and a host of other family members and friends.

The family has designated the Alzheimer’s Association, 3717 Government St., Suite 7, Alexandria, La, 71302, for memorial contributions.
