Max W. Ryan I, 76, of Covington, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019, at the Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. He was born September 9, 1942, in Piqua, to the late Joseph C. and Ruth (Murray) Ryan.

Max married Nancy I. (Byers) Ryan on August 17, 1959; and she survives.

Max is also survived by his five children, Max II (Candace) Ryan of Troy, Jeffrey (Laurie) Ryan of Washington, Ill., Thomas (Debra) Ryan of Covington, Matthew (Rebecca) Ryan of Covington, and Holly (Todd) Parker of Covington; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth (Jim) Kaiser of Covington.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph M. Ryan.

Max was a farmer and retired after many years as a self-employed truck driver. He was a people person and enjoyed time spent with his family.

Private services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington, Ohio.
