[The following infomation is from Lillian's obituary on 8 May 1994 in the Lewistown News Argus.]

"Lillian I. Brooks, 94, of Lewistown died Saturday morning, April 30, at Central Montana Medical Center Nursing HOme following a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 19, 1899, at Lewistown, the daughter of James and Myrtle Sullenger.
She was raised in Valentine country and received her education at Lewistown area schools.
She woarked at St. Joseph's Hospital as a nurse's aide in the 1960s.
She raised poodles and enjoyed her yard and flowers. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services were at Central Montana Memorial Gardens Thrusday, May 5.
Creel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements."

Lillian was married to George Allen (son of Marion Allen and Malinda Marson) on 18 Jul 1914 in Fergus County, Montana. Then 18 Dec 1916 she was united in marriage to my ancestor Charles Victor Cox (son of Sarah Malinda Lightle and William R Cox) in Fergus County, Montana. They had two children. The 1930 census says that her husband is Theodore Brooks. Then by 1933 Lillian was married to an Archie Umstead, according to the newspaper. Then in 1937, marriage records say that she married George E. Whitecraft (son of William Whitecraft and Effie B. Clark).
