Esther M. Adams, 93, of Findlay passed away peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2019. She was born in Findlay on July 5, 1925 to the late John and Dorothy (Smiley) Sheeley. Esther married Kyle Adams on June 23, 1945 and he survives, along with two daughters: Sondra (Jack) Risner of Findlay and their children - Christie, Cara, and Craig, and Sharon (William) Hanlon of Ft. Pierce, FL and their children - Brent, Stacy, and Terri; and their two sons: Barry (Jane) Adams of Arcadia and their children - Shelley, Jeffrey and Curt, and Brad (Kay) Adams of Findlay and their children Luke and Maggie. Mrs. Adams is also survived by her brother, Terry (Barb) Sheeley; sister, Jackie (Millard) Magee; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Richard (Margie) and Harold (Mary) Sheeley. She worked for several years as a switchboard operator at Marathon Oil Company. In 1937, she was baptized at the Front Street Church of God, which became College First Church of God, where she has remained a life-long member. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Will Miller officating. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery, east of Findlay. Memorial contributions can be given in her memory to College First Church of God or Findlay Youth for Christ.
