She was born in Harrison County on August 28, 1942, a daughter of the late Semone and Neva (Greathouse) Cabaret.
In addition to her parents, Lora was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Lee Collins; her longtime companion, Terry Anthony Smith; one daughter, Terry Lyn Smith and one brother, James Cabaret.
Daisy is survived by five children, Betty Ann Collins, Jackson Lee Collins, Lora Mae Swiger and husband, Richard, Timothy Kendall “Tim” and wife, Loretta and Evelyn Kay Dodd and husband, Richard; one brother, Steve Cabaret; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Lora was a homemaker most of her life and a very independent and kind-hearted woman. She loved doing crafts, especially crochet and quilting. Daisy also enjoyed her favorite television shows, such as Andy Griffith, The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making meals for her family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street, Clarksburg, West Virginia, on Monday, February 11, 2019, from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at noon with Pastor Richard Settles presiding. Interment will follow at the Middleville Baptist Church Cemetery.
