Mrs. Ella Irene White, age 85 of Jay, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at a Pensacola, FL healthcare facility.
Mrs. White was born in Jay, and remained a life-long member of the Jay community, where she was a member of Brownsdale Baptist Church of Jay, FL. She retired from Monsanto in 1975, allowing her to enjoy working in her yard, fishing, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren. Mrs. White is preceded in death by her husband of 40 plus years, James 'Bud' White; four brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by her son, Lavon (Melita) White of Flomaton, AL; daughter, Debra Polk of Jay, FL; sisters, Frances Olson of Fayetteville, GA, Helen Joyce Clark of Atlanta, GA, Barbara Mallahan of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Amanda (Brad) Bledsoe of Jay, FL, Zac (Alex) White of Flomaton, AL; Andrew Polk of Jay, FL, Kegan (Sandalin) White of Flomaton, AL; great-grandchildren, Makenleigh, Braxton, Zhane, Yazzy, and Baylor.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Brownsdale Baptist Church at 1:30 P.M. until a 2:30 P.M. service with Rev. Jeff Leake officiating.
Interment will follow in Jay City Cemetery, Jay, FL.
Pallbearers will be Jason Bedsole, Ryan Bedsole, Kevin Bedsole, Gilbert Cozart, Randy Cozart, Kevin Mallahan.
