Hope Virginia Brackett, age 74, of Desha, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. Born in Oil Trough, Arkansas, on January 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Marley and Birdie (Hayes) Arnold.

Mrs. Brackett was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, singing, and playing music. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her husband, Claud W. Brackett, preceded her in death on November 19, 1984. Mrs. Brackett was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, L. D. Arnold, Doyle Arnold, Arbon Arnold, and Noel Arnold; and two sisters, Lois Newman and Sylvia Dye.
