Hall of Fame Professional Hockey Player. He played the position of Center for the Toronto Arenas from 1917 to 1919, the Vancouver Millionaires from 1919 to 1922, the Toronto St. Pats from 1922 to 1926, and the Ottawa Senators from 1926 to 1927. After his playing days he spent a total of 36 years in the organization of the Detroit Red Wings, coaching them for 20, and guiding them to three Stanly Cup championships (1936, 1937 and 1943). He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1959.
