Timothy Lyon Hughes passed away on January 10, 2019 in Danbury, CT. Tim was born on July 5, 1941 in Mayfield, Kentucky to the late Vera and Urban Hughes. Husband of the late Patricia Hughes.

Tim was a proud veteran of the Unites States Army. As a Sergeant and Missile Crewman, he honorably served in Korea during the Viet Nam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for serving during this period of national emergency. Tim successfully worked as a Global Financial Planner at IBM for over 30 years.

Tim's favorite past times included golfing with his long time friends and spending quality time with his family. With his quick wit and incredible sense of humor, he took pleasure in making people laugh. Growing up in Wickliffe Kentucky, working on his uncle's farm, hunting and fishing, Tim was a southern boy at heart. He attended Ballard Memorial High School, where he played varsity baseball and ran on the track team.

Tim is survived by his daughter Megan Hughes Lagas and her husband Bryan Lagas, sister Anne Hughes Lober, and brother David Hughes. He is predeceased by his son Christopher Hughes.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday January 19, 2019 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St, Danbury CT 06810). Military Honors will be held
