Chris Jackson, age 28, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday, February 7. He was born on October 2, 1990 in Mt. Sterling to the late Rodney Jackson and Betty Holbrook Jackson. He was a carpenter and a United States Marine. He was very proud of his service and received a medical discharge. He enjoyed rock climbing, hiking and working out. He would work out every day. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking and anything to do with the outdoors. He had a wonderful personality and was liked by everyone. He always treated people the best and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Holbrook Jackson; One sister, Amber Lees (Brandon); Two half brothers, Joe Chris Jackson and Rodney Lynn Jackson; His maternal grandmother, Nora Montgomery; One niece, Abigail Lees; One nephew, Dalton Lees; A special friend, Brian Stamper; A host of friends and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Jackson; His paternal grandmother, Granny Pearl Jackson
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home with burial following in the Owingsville Cemetery.
