Antonio "Tony" Antunes, 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Albertina " Tina" Antunes and beloved father of Joann Antunes.

Born in Westport, he was the son of Jose and Maria Antunes and lived in Westport most of his life. Antonio was a communicant of St. George Church, a member of the local VFW Ouellette Post #8502, the American Legion James Morris Post #145 and DAV lifetime member, all of Westport. He was a Korean War Veteran of the United States Navy and Airforce.

Antonio obtained his barbers certificate when he was young. He enjoyed bowling, swimming, watching the Red Sox and time with family and friends

Survivors along with his daughter include his sister Deolinda Victoria Cangiano of Westport; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Mary Perry, Alice Moore, Emilia Andrade, Adeline Morris, Rose Manchester, and Constance Dubois.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, September 4th from the Potter Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, 12 Highland Ave, Westport. Interment will be private.
