On Friday, February 1, 2019, at LSU Health in Shreveport,Louisiana, God took another angel home. He took the very best. Her struggles here on Earth are through; He took her home to rest.

Phyllis Renay Kelly was born April 3, 1964, to Johnnie Mae Bursey and the late Fettie Bursey, who preceded her in death, along with her brother, Lonnie Miller. She accepted Christ at an early age at Love Chapel of Homer, Louisiana.

Phyllis was a kindred spirit, and she was loved by many. She loved spending time with her friends and family whom she loved deeply. She loved life and bringing joy to others. She played a great role in the upbringing of her grandkids, whom she loved deeply.

Phyllis was also preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Lloyd and Lizzie White, and Lugene and Bessie Bursey.

Her memory will dwell in the hearts of her five sons, David Kelly (Houston, TX), DeMarcus Shelton (Homer, LA), Fredrick Kelly (Homer, LA), Tamorreo Kelly (Baytown, TX), and Carlo Kelly (Homer, LA); four brothers, Lester Kelly (Homer, LA), Frank Miller (Houston, TX), Jermaine Bursey (Dayton, OH), and James Bursey (Houston, TX); sister, Catina Jenkins (Houston, TX); 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a special friend, Charles Davis (Summerfield, LA); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
