Johnny Fredrick Anderson, 94, of Cabot, passed away February 6, 2019.  He was born March 29, 1924 in Washta, Iowa to the late John and Esther Streeter Anderson.  Johnny served in the United States Navy and was a World War II Veteran.  His time in the Navy was spent serving on submarines.  Over the course of his life, Johnny owned a restaurant in Iowa, was a United States Postal Carrier and a Canteen Officer at the Veteran’s Hospital.  In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Linda Anderson; son, Ronald Anderson and sisters, Mildred Lewis and Ruby Berger.

Survivors include his sons, Robert (Debbie) Anderson and Gary (Cynthia) Anderson; six grandchildren, Kristie Duke, Erin James, Amanda Anthony, Eric Anderson, Jennifer Major and Kim Hamaker, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
