Carolyn (Speer) Staggs, 95, of Springville, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at her residence.
Born March 15, 1923 in Lawrence County, Indiana, she is the daughter of Lawrence and Hattie (Pate) Speer.
She married John H. Staggs and he preceded her in death in 1986.
She retired from General Electric in 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bedford. She enjoyed sewing and word search puzzles.
Surviving are her children, Paul James (Virginia) Eggers, David Lee (Sheila) Eggers, Roy Dale Eggers, Michael Eugene (Lana) Eggers, Linda Ann Eagans, Connie Sue Asberry; nine grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Edwards and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Staggs; two sons Ronald Case and Gary Eggers; granddaughter Leslie Eggers, son-in-law Larry Eagans, three brothers, four sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Dr. David Eggers officiating. Burial will be at Pinhook Cemtery.
