Donna Lee ''Sue'' Witty, a life-long resident of Boone County, passed away at Mount Vista Rehabilitation and Health Center in Harrison, Arkansas, Wednesday, February 6, 2019. She was 81 years old. Sue was born in Medford, Oregon on June 13, 1937, and was the daughter of Hazel and Elvis Albright. She grew up in the Capps community of Boone County and attended primary school at the Capps school, later transferring to Harrison where she graduated in 1955. She began her first job at Security Bank in Harrison as a teller following high school graduation.

Sue married David H. Witty on May 18, 1962, at the First Presbyterian Church, in Harrison. David and Sue were active in Boone County politics and served together as the Boone County Clerk and Deputy County Clerk for 24 years until their retirement in 2000. In retirement, Sue enjoyed being with friends and family, attending shows in Branson, gardening, and reading. She was a long-time member of Capps Presbyterian Church where she served as the song leader and later attended Northvale Baptist Church in Harrison. She read her Bible daily.

David and Sue have three children, David Mark, Stephen, and Lee Anne. All three children graduated from the University of Arkansas. David Mark retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of colonel. Stephen is the Information Technology Manager of Research and Development for FedEx in Harrison. Lee Anne is a horticulturist at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The couple has four grandchildren, Hannah and Rebecca Witty, U.S. Army Captain Thomas H. Witty, and Army 1st Lieutenant Abigail Z. Witty. Along with her children and grandchildren, Sue is survived by her husband, David; and a brother, Bill Albright. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Cox.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Funeral service will be held at Roller-Christenson Funeral Home Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 10:00 AM.

Interment is in Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jack Witty, Jim Witty, Charlie Robinson, Mitchel Gibson, Dale Strong and Watson Strong.

Honorary pallbearers are Bill Witty, Peggy Witty, Kathy Witty, Mary Ann Robinson, Martha Albright, Lisa Morton, Marie Mayes, Judi Cox and Robyn Warren.
