Mrs. Green was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Adams County, the daughter of Henry C. Butler and Cora Butler-Birdie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert Green Sr.; one son, Henry Earl Green; two siblings, Louis E. Butler and Mary E. Butler-Brim; one son-in-law, Willie H. Morris Sr.; and two daughters-in-law, Corrine R. Green and Ruthie L. Green.
Survivors include eight loving and devoted children, Richard J. Butler of Riverside, Calif., Ida G. Morris-Davis, Elbert Green Jr., Milton L. Green, Inez Green, Caroline Green, all of Natchez, Darnell Green and Eric J. Green, both of Houston; one goddaughter, Marie Conner of Houston; one godson, Clarence Green of Natchez; a special nephew, Luke Green; 30 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 49 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces.
