He came from NC with three of his brothers in 1800 and settled on 600 acres on Flat Creek near the Duck River.
Isaac and George are listed in the NC roster of Rev. Soldiers. When Isaac Gillespie died his property went to his son David Alexander Gillespie ten land went to his son William Henry Gillespie then to Sam Gillespie.
