GARY S. BARNES, age 62, of Walton Hills and Florida passed away on February 1, 2019 after a 3 year courageous battle with cancer.

Gary was the founder and owner Barnes Roofing Inc. of Bedford. Gary graduated from Bedford High School in 1975 and shortly afterwards started Barnes Roofing in 1978. He ran a very successful roofing business for 41 years which is still going strong today. Gary was a very down to earth person who loved to have fun, dance, sing and make everyone laugh and smile. He loved his two daughters, two grandkids and all his many friends dearly. Gary knew how to throw a party and would inspire his family and friends to have fun and enjoy life. He loved boating and fishing in Florida and loved to sing. Gary was a member of the FOP for 35 years, Moose Lodge and the FOE. He loved his Browns and Indians.

Gary is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Amanda Barnes and Trisha Bunn (James); his grandchildren, Aubrey and Jordan Bunn; his brother, Barry Barnes; and his five nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Barnes; his brother, Harold Bricker.

Friends received at the GOSPEL HOUSE CHURCH, 14707 ALEXANDER RD., WALTON HILLS, 44146, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8 FROM 3 – 8 P.M. AND SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 9 FROM 9 – 10 A.M. where a service will be held 10:00 A.M. Burial Bedford Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Gospel House Church, 14707 Alexander Rd., Walton Hills, OH 44146.
